Great location, airconditioning (though old), clean, cable tv.
I have stayed here loads of times over the years, and the wifi is *still* dodgy. It just doesn´t work unless you go and stand somewhere close to the door, which is not good if you count on it for being able to work. Don´t rely on the internet. At least this time it worked in the bathroom.

Location beside Zocalo. Swimming pool in back was best feature
Hard beds, poor lighting in room. Balconies were for looks only. No chairs or sitting room on them. Taxes, exchange etc. brought price up to $75 a night vs. the advertised $50

The hotel is perfectly located in Merida historical downtown.
The hotel is perfectly located in Merida historical downtown. It's near the main square, the cathedral and a few blocks away from Paseo Montejo. The staff was very helpful whenever we asked for recommedations of restaurants or places to know in the city. They're so polite! Our room was clean, with both ventilator and air conditioning
The bathroom was really small and there was one day we didnt have warm water. Also, walls seemed to be too thin and you could hear almost everything from next door and we particularly had a loud couple next door. The continental breakfast they offer could be improved, maybe with some different kind of fruits and not only bananas every day.
